When it comes to transcription, there are three to choose from, which are legal, general, and medical. Of the three, general and legal are the easiest to get started in. You can locate information on the transcription field by registering as a member of a transcription forum.

The transcription forum will allow you to gain access to all of their transcription folders. You will find a list of general and legal transcription companies that may be hiring. In order to apply to these companies you will need to create a resume with all of your transcription experience on it. If you don’t have any experience, you can gain some by accepting overflow from members on the forum.

You can do some volunteer transcription as well. In the transcription forum, they will have a list of volunteer opportunities. Transcription companies look at all of the work that you have completed, even if it is volunteer work. By gaining experience it will also allow you to increase your typing speed. Many companies prefer transcribers who can type 85 words per minute.

Baking has also become a well-known home based business. If you are a great cook or baker, you can use your skill to make some money. You may need to get a business license in order to sell to customers. The business license can be obtained at the city hall. Post an ad in your local newspaper letting people know your price and what items you have to offer.

Don’t bake the items until you take an order. Let the customer know when to expect to receive their baked goods. They can pick up the baked goods or you can deliver them. It may be a good idea to take orders on one day, bake the next day, and make deliveries the day after. It is also a good policy to only accept cash. Try to make your prices inexpensive, but not too cheap. You have to factor in the time and ingredients it took to make the baked goods.
